Report for the last week

Late report for the last week, I have been absolutely slammed with work and haven't had the time to post up a report, or fish as much as I'd like to! But I had one crap day and one awesome day.

Last Sunday (5/19) I fished a cartopper tournament in Littleton, and the place stunk so bad I can't even recall the name of it     Conditions (seemed to be) perfect, and with a dozen boats lunker was under 4lbs and 8 and change took 1st place. My partner didn't catch a keeper the whole day and I got 2 on the frog that went just under 4 lbs together (4th place?) I couldn't buy a bite on anything but the frog, and they were short striking it all day, I never have problems hooking up on frogs and I only got a hook in 2 of them the whole day.


Wednesday (5/22) I fished a shallow pond with a ton of laydowns and vegetation. Caught around 20 on a leopard spro popping frog, each of them going just under 4 lbs





Also picked up this low 3 on a 3:16 baby wake in perch




Started to rain a little bit so I threw around a black Spro King Daddy (first time I've ever thrown it) and headed into a very shallow 100 yard x 200 yard cove that is no more than 2' deep any area with very thick pads. Got a couple of nice blows ups, then a had a nice one blow up on it two casts in a row out of the same spot so I pitched in a black and blue LTD jig, and got hammered by this 5.26... she would have been a tank a few weeks ago, had a huge mouth, but was very skinny right now.

Yup, that was the first time I've ever thrown the King Daddy and I had some Monster blowups on it. I just started a new (2nd) job and my only day off this week is tomorrow and forecast is t-storms all day     might have to take the chance
