Well, I finally paid off my medical bill from last summer. $13,500 after insurance, this is why I love living in Canada. I wouldn't have to pay a thing.
I have lots of great personality traits. Or as my doctor calls them, symptoms.

Don't they get you in taxes in Canada?

We pay more taxes because we earn more. Plus we don't have all those tax loop holes.

I've never heard Canadians called communist from either of these sources. However, I have hears the term socialized medical.

Question; how long would you have had to wait for your procedure in Canada?

Drake691

Well I only had a broken wrist and dislocated shoulder. As for wait times, if differs from hospital to hospital. Every province also has its different form of care they give(some better then others). Around here though I don't need to wait long. My Mother has been a nurse here for 28 years and I use to cater to the doctors. All I need to do is make a phone call and then they get there act together. But normally it just determined on how busy and the seriousnes of what need to be done.

I like it here though. I would prefer to wait a little longer then having to take a loan from the bank for a basic human need.

Communist Canada. Hmm. Can't say that I've ever heard anyone call it that.

Canadian's pay a much higher % of income to taxes than those in the U.S.  Nothing to do with how much they earn.
