Clear lake on 509 in Frierson

Anybody know if that lake is worth fishing looks like good water any info will help!! It's so close to my house I could go fish it after work if its worth it thanks!!

It use to have some big bass in it. I don't think that's the case anymore. It's got the floating pain in the butt really bad. I cross it every day on the way to work and have seen it so bad reeds starting growing on top of the salvinia. I've haven't noticed many boats at the ramp. Usually it kicks on for a few weeks during the spring and then dies down. I can tell when it's on because that ramp will be packed. It's a lot bigger than it looks. Make sure you have a GPS because you will get lost in the maze of cypress trees to the north.

The fish are far and few in between I've caught some 2 and 4 pounders during the spawn there but nuttin bigger than a 4.5

I don't know where you work but the river is not that far away from clear lake and the fishing is way better. I bring my boat to work quite a bit and fish the river in the evenings.
