Have any of you gotten your BassCat's wet in 2013?

Billius46

Nope, not had the Cougar out of the garage since October 31. Got to get it up to Sherm to get a new impeller installed and some other general maintenance.  Once that's done,  I am ready to roll, should the weather permit it. Several guys have been out on the water though. I just can't see fishing in 35-40 weather, if I don't have too. lo

Creel Limit Zero

I have not been out since the end of January.  6 weeks and counting since I've been out...   :'(  Did do my annual maintenance and I might be on the water this weekend.   ;D

Well lets see...it's 29 today and snowing.  lo Last year this week in was in the low 80's.  ~sun

I'm headed to Ky Lake for a 4 day weekend at the end of this month  ~gf

Sounds like the Indiana weather I remember.   ~roflmao

I might try to get out late next week for my 1st trip of the season weather permitting. I don't want to blow $75 in gas driving to the lake only for it to be cold and windy.

I've never been one to fish jerkbaits much and want to try harder this year. Slow crawling a jig in this cold water has always been my comfort zone.

Woke up this morning and the ground is covered with SNOW  :shocking:

The picture below is what I was doing EXACTLY one year ago today! Pre-spawn and flipping the bank.

Northern Chicago burbs here...still on the hard water.  Last time out was Dec 1st out of Milwaukee fishing browns and lakers.  Might try that this weekend but don't really feel like dodging ice floes.  Can't make OI but will also be at Ky lake week of Apr 20  :)

Hey Gary Thanks...I've been watching the different threads regarding KABCOT and the planning...looks like you are assembling what will be a stellar event...definitely BassCat strong!!!  I want to make it but will need to be an 11th hour entrant if my schedule permits.  Father's day weekend makes it a bit tough for me but maybe I could bring the family and make it a little get away...we'll see.

I feel for you guys that have to deal with snow and ice.  I would go crazy with cabin fever up there I know.  Down here in Louisiana the carpet on our trailer bunks never gets dry between trips.
On the downside, our lawnmowers are in use all year too. ~roflmao

BASSBOATGUY

I did...yesterday....I threw a glass of water under the hull. By the looks of it, thats about as close as ill get to "getting it wet" this year.....DAMN SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well,  the Arctic blast has returned.  After a few days in Florida and last weeks mid 70 temps we cooled off.   I wouldn't want to be out in yesterdays 40° high air temps with 15-25 mph plus NW air blowing and howling like a big bad wolf.  Flags hoisted high looked like sheets of plywood with yesterdays wind.
