Elkhorn in Columbia was stocked on 2/27. I went on the first of march and fished from about 11-3. Only had one line in the water, got one rainbow, I'd say about 9-10 inches (just a guess, was my first trout ever and he was wiggly). Caught him on some glittery yellow power bait.
PS I'm a little unclear about the trout fishing rules. Is there some time that fishing with powerbait is off limits? I read something about scented bait being illegal at a certain time of year.

PowerBait is the gray area of the rules IMO.  BTW, I'd stop by Savage Mill since your pretty close to there. Moving water, much more realistic trout fishing... Its far more scenic too.

I've only ever passed through that area. What's the body of water called? Is there anything else in that water? And thanks for the heads up.
