Has any of you guys been on a tour of the Legend factory? If so how was it , how much did you get to see happen? I am already looking for my next boat and been looking HARD at the Legends, but i would like to see alittle about how they built and would want to ride in one before hand. I dont know whats the deal around everywhere i fish but no ones has one are been around one, i also have never seen one in person, and i have been looking around to try and find the closes dealer to me that might have one but there not any to close, so i was just thinking if i had to make a trip to see one i just as soon go to where they built. Thanks for any info

At the factory you get to see every single step. Usually Dean, the CEO, with walk you through the factory, from the taping of the mold to putting the electronics on and final polish. You'll get to see the stringer system, how the transom is made (he used to have an old transom there that he would let you swing at with a sledge hammer to see if you could break it, if it's still there remember that there were probably a hundred swings before you got your chance  ~shade ). Ever inch of the process is open for review and questions.

If you are having trouble getting a test ride, shot me a PM with your phone number and I will have a rep give you a call. They will find a way to get you in one to drive it. Reps are constantly driving the states giving rides or hitting tournaments and will pass close to you for sure.

Do you ever get over to the Shreveport area? Want a trip on the famous Red River :-* I can hook you up with a guided scouting trip for any of the upcoming championships or regional events that are held there regularly. And a possible Legend owner gets to see the good spots ~shade

There is a very impressive Legend video that details your question.  Got to youtube.  I was very impressed and I'm a BassCat guy.  Good luck!

I've gotten to take a tour a few years back when Mike Noble went to go pick up his 2nd Legend.  I was a very in-depth tour, had access to the entire shop and got to see each step along the way as they hand build each boat.  They are custom built for each customer and as the customer you can pick whatever you want on it.  One of the things that truly impressed me and still stays with me now is when Dean pulled out some of the transom stringer supports they make in house and kinda tossed up and out onto the shop floor.  When it hit it sounded like he dropped a solid piece if steel onto the concrete floor.  It wasn't of course but pressure formed fiberglass.  That just blew me away that fiberglass could be as dense, feel as heavy and be so strong.

One other thing that will sit with me and always keep Legend in the for front when looking at boats is when I jumped into Mikes new boat it was a snug fit to get my legs under the Dual Console, some of the Legend team noticed and called Dean back out and had me jump in and out of a few other boats and then back to Mike's.  Took a front Console cap and cut it up to allow more room for my legs to fit and took measurements and other notes while I was sitting there.  Legend then changed the setup to ensure the new consoles being put on would fit a big Corn Feed MN guy.  LOL

If you make the trip you will enjoy it, getting to meet the team and see what they do and the support they give each customer is something anyone thinking about getting into a Legend should do.

Thanks guys a lot of great info, I will have to set a trip up for my month home in Jan. sounds like it will be a Fun and great learning trip for me and the son.    Mike I am going to try and make a couple trips over to Red River in Nov when I get home in between the ABA on Ross and a Honey Do trip I have to make with the wife to Niagera Falls lol. But would love to have a guided trip over there and get a chance to see how one rides, need to spend a lot of time on it between now and April when the BASS Open starts there. Thanks again for all the info.

I just went on a tour last Monday.  Dean took me and my wife into the shopand showed us every step they go through to build the boats, and I was very impressed with the process. Liked so much that I am planning to order one within 6 months.  Dean answered all my questions that I had and also my wifes questions.
Dean also took the time to go ahead and go through color selection for when I get ready to order my boat, and there in the process of moving into there larger shop.
If you get time to through the tour take it, as it will answer all your questions. ~cf

Glad to hear they are finally able to start moving to the new shop. It's been a long time in the works. I've got to tour the new factory already and it's a thing of beauty, huge compared to where they are at now and lots of cool features that will help them in the boat building process.

Just wanted to add my agreement with everything that has been said so far! Dean and company will make you feel like you're with family when you're there and after the sale too! I can't express how much these folks do. And they do it with a personal touch, you're not just another customer wih them!
