As most know since i have been BLOWING up this forum is I recently got a ranger 175vs. When I was out yesterday everything worked great. Turned on the livewell and it filled up good but needs to be cleaned a little. I noticed It was very slow draining out when i put it on empty?. How can I fix this?

Are you asking about it draining while the boat is in or out of the water?

Are you talking about it draining or the pump out?  Does your boat have pump out?

Both lol, i put it on "empty" when my partner went to go get the truck there was about the same amount when i got the boat on and up the ramp. After i got it home i let it sit for about an hour then it was all out...

You've probably gotten some fish scales or other foreign debris in the drain line.  I used to take mine apart from time to time and you'd be surprised at the amount of "junk" in them, clogging up the screens, etc.

I asked because they just don't drain worth a darn while sitting in the water.

copnjax is right another thing you can do is fill the livewells, leave them open/set to drain and run across the lake it will put them down in a hurry.  Do this a few times might help suck out whatever is in there.

I don't anymore...sold my boat in 2002.  However, I used to disconnect the hoses, etc. and if I remember right, there was a screen in place that would get debris built up and I'd make sure it was clear.
Fogey is correct in advising to fill them up then, open them as you run across the lake.  it will suck all the junk out (except for the screen-strainer).
