Rod protector - oops alaready posted

Use a pool noodle as a rod protector.  They cost about $1.00.  Plug the top with a small cut out from the main and seal with duct tape.  A bait caster will slide right in and a spinning rod requires cutting a short channel to allow the eyes to pass.

Haven't damaged a rod since I started doing this and they are in the back of my pickup.
