Nope, I went to the store. And who are you to call me a redneck. I'm a coonass not a fricking redneck. You don't get classified a redneck until you get above Oakdale. That would put you smack dab in redneck country and those directions to get around that lake up there proves it. At least I was in the womb unlike you test tube freak. :roll2:

:roll2:  I see you managed to fight off that cat!  :shocking:  Hope he didn't take to big a bite out of your tongue to give you a stuttering problem or speech impediment your hard enough to understand as it is.

As for me, heck I ain't no Red-Neck Am a flesh and blood Dam Yankee,  Learned after 17 years of trips to Africa & the rag-head sand box that I don't like the cold so came on down to the south & moved right on in!   ~gator

Justafishamen,

The run we used to make, you come out of Plum Orchard, turn into Shreveport Pond, into Mud Slough, cut through the cypress tress then cross the Hay Meadow turn right into the channel turning left and head up the channel past Diamond Tee, the Port O'Bist. I have made that one at night but didn't get very far past Port O'Bist. If I am ever up that way I would love a tour of the north end of the lake.

Launched at Bayou Inn in Dixie Inn  today. Water is still a little low. We had to slow down alot for the sand bars and the stumps stickin' up all over the place. And had to fight the wind and coldness. We did not catch anything....The water temp was a steady 48. The white bass have'nt made it that far north yet. Did see a few fish jumping, just could not get them to bite. We did see a few buffalo floating upside down....and they were alive....just floating.?!?!?!?!? Anyways....I figure give it another two weeks and the water should be up enough for better boating and the water temps should be getting right too......Just my 2 pennies worth....

Launched at the new Webster Parrish Ramp yesterday and fished up stream from about 12:00 to 5:30.  Got two bites & missed them both.  I'm sure they were White Bass and had absolutely no luck with any large mouth.  Water was 45 at the start and warmed to 47 in most places by the end of the day.  The day was a bit chilly but it was a nice day to be on the water.  I watched two guys in a Pro Craft hook into some nice white bass using various crankbaits off a point in the river were fishing shallow and slow cranking the point and hauling in some quality whites.  I tried the same thing after they moved on and got hit twice with a 1/2 once red trap but couldn't manage it stick them.  Water was stained to muddy and there are some very shallow areas so you better know the river before you just get up on plane and run.

i was wondering whose truck that was at the ramp yesterday....you have a dodge ram with a white nitro trailor? i saw the UB sticker in the window...supposedly some buddies had said they been getting good numbers of largemouth off of the bridge pilings....dont know for myself though

Ron Fogelson

Yep that was me.  Black Doge, can't miss it, Play Nice or Die! on the front windshield and a Big A$$ UB sticker in the back window.

Boat is White, with Red trim and black hull so say hi if you see me again.  Were you there or just driving by?

b1jeremy

actually i was gathering rocks and a few sticks/limbs for my catfish aquarium...you go there often? if you need a tag along i only live about 5 min from there lol...Jeremy

Fished today from 12 to 5:30 had a blast.  The water is coming up and launching my big boat is more work now then it was but no big deal.  Ran up river a bit and hook a white on my 1st cast.  Worked the area over well and hung 3 more and 2 large mouth bass as well.  Started working the banks and picked up a few in most each bend or the river.  Water was 53.9 most every place I looked.  Managed 9 before I lost my lure.  Then went back to the 1st spot and used another crank bait and missed 3 whites and a large mouth, finally hooked a large mouth and and then 3 whites missed at lest 4 more whites and called it a day.

The Bait was a 300 bandit lure crank bait in chartruse with black back, never missed a fish with it, not one.  At the beginning of the day all bites were on the back treble by the end of the day they had the whole thing in there mouths.  The other crank bait I had was a MUZE or something like that, looks great but will not dive as deep as the 300 even thought it said 10 to 12 feet.  I used a file to sharpen the bill and got it to tick the bottom and thats when I got bit.  The hooks on the bait are WORTHLES!  I will use it again but not until I change out the hooks.  Tomarrow its BPS time to get me a few more 300's  Only had the one.   :'(

So total for the day 12 whites 3 largemouth bass & one lure given up to the fish gods.

Well finaly made it to the litle river again today.  Headed out about 320 ran into Doyline today to pick up my wife and boys who were at a birthday party.  Figured as long as I had to go get them they could take my to the river!  :)

Hooked into 5 nice size whites in like an hour, smallest was a bout 1.5lbs got one that has to be 3lbs or a bit better. All on bandit 200s some white some chartruse black stripes and some chartruse green back

Mr. bigmouth

well went to dorcheat because of the wind didnt feel like getting killed on caddo today.Water is very clear with a little current and seems to be about maybe a foot and a half low still.Didnt catch squat but girlfriend caught a good whitebass and a decent bass.
But did see two guys catching the heck out of whitebass fishing on the bottom using crawfish. They were catching one about every 2 minutes some very big up to maybe 4 pounds.

Friend of mine said he went almost to the lake from Doyline launch and slayed the white bass. He was fishing off a sandbar with crwfish. He said every cast produced a fish. He said he caught well over 80 fish. He beached his boat on the sand bar and fished from the boat. Looks like I know where I am going Wednesday !!!!!!
