1/4oz white rooster tail.  Find the eddies created by the river current and breaks from cover and throw past them and pull through.  Sometimes let it fall right after it enters into the slack water.  Behind bends that have laydowns, stumps and on the downstream side of bridge pillings. Hollow belly frogs around any type of cover in less than 10ft of water.  My fishing buddy and I have titled our season "THE YEAR OF THE FROG".

Technique
Soft, typically roll casts to any type of structure...grass, pads, docks, submerged trees rocks, pilings, you name it.  Let it sit for just a few seconds.  I have found that I often will land the frog very close to the bass. Even when spooked, if you let it sit a few seconds, they will often come back to investigate and explode on it as soon as it moves.

Speed
I let the fish determine the speed of presentation.  Sometimes they want it moving a little faster.  Sometimes they want it dangling in front of their face, teasing the fire out of them.  My most productive presentation is walking the dog with a twitch, twitch, pause....twitch, twitch, twitch, long pause (about 10 seconds) twitch, twitch, BOOM!

I know there are a good number of guys here who fish with frogs but I believe it is widely under-rated and is highly effective.

My Setup
Dobyns Champion 735C MH X-Fast tip
Quantum EXO 7.3:1 reel
Power Pro Slick 8 - 50lb (timber brown)
Pad Crasher - Yellow (belly colored black with sharpie nose colored orange with spike-it marker)

Geist Reservoir, Fishers, Indiana
