Where do Maryland guys buy there gear?

Where does everyone shop for fishing stuff? I know BPS,dicks sporting goods,Walmart, and Kmart but I would like to put my hands on some higher end rods,reels, and tackle that theese stores don't offer in the store. I live in Annapolis so any local shop is all about bay fishing gear. Any suggestions?

If you are going to shop online sft is good and local and i do shop there but tackle warehouse can't be beat! I am going to fish the gorge on sat are you up for it?

In the Annapolis area, you have Anglers Sport Center, Alltackle and over in Edgewater, Marty's. These shops are primarily geared for fishing the bay, but they all carry a good selection of other gear too. It doesn't hurt to go in & talk with them either. If they don't have what you're looking for, often they'll get it for you & still be very competitive in pricing when compared to the big box stores.

Tochterman's up on Eastern Ave is another good one, and has been around forever.

Up in Northeast, MD you have Herb's Tackle Shop, another that has been around a long time.

Then, across the bridge on the Eastern Shore side you have Shore Sportsman in Easton.

Thanks guys. I wanted places to go in and put my hands on the stuff I'm buying. Every company seems to have a different idea of what medium action feels like and I'd hate to buy a rod online and not be happy with the action.

Bigb do you want to fish in my boat,it's a tracker pt 190 so it's 19 ft long with plenty of room. I do usually start at first light wich is 5:30 and launch out of Scott's cove. Have you ever fished triadelphia?

Another place to check out is clydes sporting goods. They are in Lansdowne on Hammobds Ferry Road. Informative guys working there, wide selection of fresh bait.
