I have been looking at a lot of diffrent fishing boats for a few weeks now. I have a few brands that I am closeing in on as a finale choice for my new boat. Right now I am looking at LOWE boats as one of my possiable brands for a new boat. I would like to know what you all have heard about them, or if you have one or know someone that has one, how do you like it or what do you not like about it.

I am looking at the Deep-V series boats. What I am wanting in a boat is 16' up to 18' max and I intend to put the biggest engine on that the boat and my wallet will allow. Another thing that I absoutly must have is either a dual consle or a walkthrough windshield.

Did you ever decide on a boat?

I was looking almost exclusively at Trackers, but the closer and closer I get to buying my new boat, I find myself looking at the Lowes pretty seriously as well.  Anyone know how the Lowe mod-v's handle rough water compared to the Tracker?

if it's between the two I would go with the Lowe. I'm starting to see a lot of complaints from Tracker owners. Lowe's are well made boats. Lund is one of the best alum. multi species boats. very well made, but like Ranger you will pay for the name. you may want to look at Crestliners. great boats and thier customer service is second to none. Lowe or Crestliner will be a bit more expensive than Tracker, but will have a higher resale value and I think are just better built boats.

the first boat i ever fished out of was an old Lowe bass boat. that thing went through hell and high water and a couple tornados in Ks. lo i dont think you can go wrong with a Lowe

Lowe aluminum boats are good boats, my wife has a 26' Lowe pontoon that is 15 years old and is still running well !

check dead rise...most important to me...lateral stability.  can you step on the gunwales and not dip your toes in the water at the same time?

some of the lower end, smaller lowe semi-v's I've been in have been a bit 'tippy'...for my preferences.

Just check it out and make sure you're comfortable with what it does...they all ride 'well' when you're in the middle of the boat and 'set up'...

Lowe, Triton, Crestliner, and Lund are all made by the same company Brunswick. Brunswick also makes minn kota and mercury.
