My wife and I are wanting to come to Shreveport/Bossier area and spend a couple of days, but we want to bring our little puppy girl with us. Are there any cabins/places to stay that allows you to bring a small pet with you? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks-Eddie

Actually there are quite a few hotels in the area that allow small pets.  My wife and I travel and she likes to bring the dogs... Check out some of the travel sites and/or Google.  You can find some decently priced hotels that are decent quality and still take pets.

Are you looking specifically for cabin type setting, are you bringing boat etc.  Cypress/Black Bayou Park has cabins for rent that allow pets.  They are not hotel quality with phone, TV etc., but they are clean with beds and bathroom.  They are fairly close to town with all the road improvements that have been made.

Lake Bisteneau State Park has some cabins, but they are pretty rustic and much farther out.

Red River South has a few cabins also.  Never been in them and they are in the parking lot of the launch.

If you want something nice and are just visiting for the weekend, I'm with Iclass, many of the nicer hotels in this area allow pets.

Thanks guys. The cabins on Black Bayou sound good to me, but if there is no TV that will be deal breaker for the wife-lol. I would like to bring my boat but not sure I will have time to use it. Will check into the motels. Thanks again-Eddie

The cottages at Black Bayou have tv.  Not sure about the cabins.  You can call the park and ask though.
