Does anyone know of any good places around NAS Pensacola, that's where I'm stationed and would like to get out on the water to catch some, suggestions would be great.

Was stationed at Eglin for 10 years, lived in Gulf Breeze. Great inshore saltwater fishing for flounder, trout and redfish. As far as the bass fishing goes, I suggest to bite the bullet and find someone to drive to Talquin, Seminole, or Jackson. There is a  lake in Defuniack springs  called Cassidy. If you try Cassidy use a #7 shad rap in a shad color and jerk it paraell to the grass, also a 4in cenipete worm or lizard in watermelon seed rigged carolina stlye. we used to catch 30-40 bass a day at that lake. All of these waters are east of Pensacola If you are lucky you may get permission to fish some of the ponds in the surroundng niegborhoods. Pull up Google maps and you will find them. You can wade fish the saltwater stuff, but will need a boat for the lakes. I hope to be back there when I retire from Barksdale AFB. Good luck and good fishin. 8)
