One of the guys that works for me, A very very good guy named Joe has been in the hospital for about 2 weeks and is fighting for his life. The initial issue was extremely high triglycerides.

i would ask that anyone reading this please say a prayer for him and his wife and 3 kids.

Here is an update she posted to a home school website just awhile ago.

Yesterday I sat down with one of the head doctors to get a full update
on Joey. It is good that he can maintain his BP on his own. It is bad
that the kidneys are showing no signs of recovery. The pancreas is
inflamed. He is sensitive to movement. Recently the lungs have gotten
really bad. They are tweeking numbers and trying different things,
doing all that they can. Without the help of his... lungs, they are
very limited. It is important to get the support level down to make
the lungs do some work...100% support is dangerous to his lungs and
will cause damage. The best thing would be to move the breathing tube
from his mouth to his throat, but it would kill him to do that right
now so they have to work with things how they are. The fever is still
high, but they can't find out why. The hypothesis is that it is just
because Joey is so inflamed. Yes, they are using hypothesis and best
knowledge to try different things just to see how he responds.

Thank you

Dug
In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Sorry to hear of such a ailing un-explainable illness. Joe being a person you speak highly of, I get the impression he must be strong as well as a great person. Hopefully his strength can help.

Prayers from the Cork Family for a the knowledge in his doctors and to give him the extra strength to heal.
