PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

For those in and around Shreveport/Bossier City LA., here's an opportunity you can't afford to pass up.

FREE BOATING SAFETY COURSE

The "Red River Volunteers" will offer a free 6-hour boating safety course from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (one hour for lunch) on Saturday,  28 January 2006. It will be held at LSU-S, Bronson Hall, Room 205

It is not necessary to pre-register, walk-ins accepted

It is the official LA Wildlife & Fisheries boating safety course an attendees will receive a State certificate. Some insurance companies may offer a discount on boating insurance if you take this course.

Mandatory Boating Education is required for anyone born after January 1, 1988. They must carry proof of completion to operate a motorboat in excess of 10 horsepower, which includes "jetskis". The person may operate the boat, without the course, if accompanied by someone over 18 who, if required, has completed the course.

The certificate received from this course, with a picture ID, is accepted on the Cane River in Natchitoches, LA.
