On Thursday, March 15, my "job" landed me on a 32' Yellowfin with twin Yammy 350's on the back Southbound out of Venice. We ran about 55 miles out in search of yellowfin tuna. After all 3 of the clients had their turn on the rod, one with an almaco jack, the other 2  each with a yellowfin it was my turn. By this time the trolling bite had died down so they set up to drift a chum line. 5-10 minutes later my reel started screaming... FISH ON!!! A short but tiring 10 mins later I had my first yellowfin ever. Nothing major, just a good eating 30-something pounder. We ended the day with 5 yellowfin, 1 almaco jack, a few barracuda, and thanks to "Mr. Teeth" (barracuda) 1/2 of a small blackfin. All in all it was a great day with great weather to be out on the Gulf.

Some times I LOVE my job.

In the background you can see the largest of the day. Estimated at 80lbs.
