I just got a 2000 Ranger 522 this March. The more I look at legends the more I like them. But what makes them better than a Ranger? I've road in almost everyboat imaginable. From Javelins to Tritons. Tritons and Rangers being my favorite. What makes a Legend, a Legend? Will it give a drier ride than my ranger at highspeeds? Can it take the beating of yachts at 50 miles an hour? I see lots of people on here running them. I know a boy named Dustin Bozeman is a legend guy. So whats the big deal with them?

I don't know him personally just heard of him. I know he is a young gun. Just curious to what makes a Legend a Legend. No one runs them where I'm from. Matter of fact I've never even seen one on a lake here.

I have owned 2 Legends, a LE-21 and Alpha211.  The Alpha211 is the driest ride and handled rough water better than any other boat I have been in.  I haven't been in a Ranger in quite a few years so really can't compare.  I fished Nitro for quite a few years and the Legend's ride beat it hands down.  Besides being a remarkable boat, the folks at the Legend factory are the best around.

Like jastrozier said, if you can get a ride in one...that would be the way to go.  You might contact the factory and see if they have someone in your area that could give you a test ride.

Like has been said before you really need to Drive and Fish a Legend and you will make your mind up on your own.  There is not a Better handling Boat out there.

All I will say is Ranger is no longer the same Boat Forrest woods built.   ;)

Ranger is a good boat. Fit and finish on them is good. Legend is a little better in my opinion. You can find people that say no. Customer service absolutely can't be beat, the Legend factory takes care of you personally, you become part of there family.
Can it take yacht wakes at 50? With ease!! It will be as fast as a any bass boat out there. It's fishabilty is awesome, very stable when two big guys are moving around. Big storage compartments. The rope lighting blows the standard lighting away. The list goes on!
