I have not found a set up that I really "love" for heavier cover basic presentation... I am fishing slightly stained to gin clear northern lakes with Senkos and worms. Mostly on wood or thick weededges.

I have been using Dobyns 733 and 704 MHF rods with 12 or 14# Sufix fluoro... I use 10# InvizX on my Finesse worm rod (742 Dobyns) and it seems so much more sensitive, and the line is more manageable and doesn't have the "stiff, heavy" feel in the water... v~

I welcome your suggestions/opinions... :help:

I use a 6'9 MH Carrot stick.Light weight and short enough to roll cast in tight places.I allso use fluoro 12 pound.Might have to give 10 a try.

I usually use 15 pound Invizx for my senko's
In gin clear I use 6 and 8 Invizx on my spinning rods
If I get in really heavy stuff I use 20 but I'm usually not throwing senko's then some sort of creature

As for as rod I think its really just what you like as long as its heavy enough

The 15 # Invizx has a pretty small diameter and can still get some fish out of some thicker stuff

For rod I like my st. croix legend bass teaser rod. For line I use the berkley transoptic.

The best senko rod I've ever used is the falcon Cara weightless worm . A nice tip with 5 power backbone. It also makes a nice light TR rod and spinnerbait rod. and its a awesome jerkbait rod. For line I use sunline sniper 12lb.

Falcon Lowrider weightless worm special....6'7" MH XF....split grip version.  Very light, excellent feel with enough back bone to control fish in/around heavy cover.  For line I use 40 lb Power Pro....sometimes with a fluoro leader depending on depth and clarity.
Attitude predicts altitude.  How high will you fly?

Denali Rosewood 6'10' MH with 10lb Invisx. The rod is labeled as a spinnerbait rod, Its a broom handle though with a nice soft tip. Its short enough that I can roll cast, skip or anything I want to do. Paired with a Quantum Smoke, it feels absolutely weightless. I used to use longer rods, the 7'3" Dobyns stuff but I found I didnt have quite the control I wanted for fishing targets. A longer stick is certainly nice to cover water though

I have used 2 different 6'9 rods for senkos and that seems to be a good length both were Kistler Magnesium's

I have learned for me again for me if there's not alot of cover I have had good success with senko's on   8# line with a spinning rod for  clear water that senko will fall alot faster and has more action on that 8 # line that makes a big difference line diameter really makes a big difference on the action of a senko
way too many times my partner is throwing some big mono or big fluro we are casting at the some point hump whatever I'm catching 3 and 4 pound fish and he's struggling to get a keeper same senko same hook this is just something that has happend to me way more than once and I always hear I'm not throwing no 8# line fine dont just sit and watch the magic

I not saying this is everyday but some days it makes a big difference

I love my 734 for Texas rigs up to 3/8s excellet tip for casting or pitching and the back bone to work them from cover. Im not sure if you are talking weightless or not, Texas rig could mean a lot of things. Weightless I drop to a 703 champion series and IMO it's the cats meow. Sensitivity is amazing.

Here in Louisiana I have a lot of cover to deal with and line choice is usually heavy by most standards. 15 pound is light line to me. Seagaur invisx

I weight Senkos/worms with anything from 1/8 to 1/4 bullet weights up here... mostly 3/16... Since my recent return to predominately Bass fishing I bought what I felt was a good arsenal of Dobyns;
702 Savvy Drop Shot spin
733 Champion FC... Senkos , Jigs, 7" worms
742 DX Extreme... finesse plastics, topwater
735 Savvy SC... Frogs, Carolina, big plastics

I'm thinking of trying 12-14# Sufix Siege or 15# YoZuri Soft on the 733 ~b~ But I see a lot of guys liking the Invizx...I think I need to get some... :-*

That's a great mix of rods! Its not in your list but the champion 734 is great for those weights. I think the 733 is just a little lite. And the 735 is a little heavy unless your in some pretty heavy cover.

I think you'd really like the four powers

Hmmmm... I guess I sound crazy, but what about a tad slower action for fishing those jig/craws etc... :-\
