is never dull good to use on a aluminum boat and does it take off any kind of sheld :-\

I wouldn't use it. It will take of any clear-coat the boat has.

All of the value line boat models I've worked with, thankfully, are unfinished aluminum.  So, we've found out years ago that a little Never Dull on the gunnel-only of the boat really spiffs up the finish.  However, if you do the unfinished sides, be prepared for a 6 hour or more event.  On the other hand, many a pontoon has been polished by our staff at FAYS MARINA with Sharkhide[]com aluminum polish and followed up with an acrylic sealer that keeps it polished like a mirror for months on end, so you don't have to repolish every two to three months to keep up appearances.  Our Tracker and Lowe Boats do not use clearcote on the aluminum so no danger of harm on the unpainted boats - hope this helps!  Ed at FAYS MARINA BoatShop[]com
