I have a 2004 pt175 with a 60 hp 4-stroke merc on it and had no problems until recently when the ignition switch is turned to on the self check beeps like normal and then I turn it to start and nothing happens.

My battery is good and the connections are good.  The fuel pump energizes when I turn it to on but then to start no cranking.  I'm suspecting the ignition switch is bad but not sure how to check it exactly.  The push to choke (which I never have to use, I live in california) doesn"t seem to work either when I push it in).  I've checked the kill switch it is on run and I've got the gear shift in neutral.

Any ideas would be helpful.  Also not sure where to get this exact switch if it is bad.

Thanks Folks
