I bought this boat last October 2004 TZX190.  The jackplate is set up 1" with a 25M prop.  And the previous owner installed a set of 2 degree negative wedges because he claimed that the boat would not ride correctly at low speeds with 400 lbs of anglers in the boat.  I am only turning 5100 rpm and the bow rolls ( a slow chine walk that gets worse as the longer you stay in it)

Should I remove the wedges? or lower the motor? or go to a 4 blade 24p prop? ~b~ ~b~ ~b~ ~b~

Have a new zx190 with HPDI 175, have to go out and look at setup, will get back to you .

Mine has no wedges and 25-m prop. It is set up five dimples on jack plate seems to be 1 1/4 or 1/2 up. No handling problems at all with full live wells and 30gal gas. or empty live wells and little gas. Sorry took so long got side tracked with air con. problems

Thanks for the input...As soon as I can figure out the best way to support the motor and remove the wedges, I am going to see how she does then.  If that doesn;t work then I am going to go tryout a 24p 4 blade prop from powertech.

Removed the wedges last night and went to the red this morning with a tool bag. Final results 5400 rpm 66.8 mph with 13 pounds of water pressure at WOT. I called Steve's custom props on friday and followed his instructions. I am now about 3.25 inches of seperTion between the pad and the centerline of the propshaft. next is to get the prop blueprinted.

That was on my handheld Garmin Legend...My lowrance 320 display died....Thinking about buying a HDS7 to replace it.  The temp was about 93 can't wait to see what it will do at 75 this fall.  Boat speedo was showing 73-75mph.
