:-* Went to Cross today thought they were shooting another movie, was across the street. Went to West End just to practice a little on my pitching/flipping techique. Been having some problems lately on determining if the fish was on or not. Seems to have been worth the trip. Got there about daylight, pitch a few trees in about 4 foot of water came up with 2 overs and 1 under, caught two more in the slot. Moved a little northwest flip a few more trees same depth managed 1 more over and 1 under. Biggest over was about 4 1/4 lbs. Changed over to a crankbait around trees closer to open water and managed 2 more slots. Then just cruised the trees looking at my 998c/si Hummingbird to try and understand it better. All in all it was a little fishing, practicing technique, and understand electronics with out tournament pressure. Was off the lake at 11:00 am. ~gf

I was at bass pro shops last night with money in hand for a HB 898 or HDS 7 package.... Lowrance seems to be just so high priced for the screen you are getting! After discussing everything for an hour, I ended up with another day to think about things..lol...   How do you like the HB??? Some people say I would Never use it on our local lakes (besides river and toledo)... Is this true?

Now that's a great day on the water :toot:

I have the Lowrance and in shallow waters 4 ft or less you don't have much reach with the side scan but deeper docks are very interesting to say the least. Lots of brush and thing that you never really knew were there.

Fishing is more than just a hobby
