Just looking for some info. Im looking for a bank or CU that will finance a used boat for longer than 4 or 6 yrs. I called Barksdale and they will do it for 4 yrs on a 07. WIth the price of these boats nowdays, I was wondering if anyone knew of a bank that would finance a good used boat for longer than 4 yrs. Really cant justify a $500/month boat note.

Just bought an 06 Legend through Carter. They will go longer than 4 years on a boat older than 4 years with good credit and even longer if it's newer. Great rates and easy easy people to deal with. I went with Lisa Nash at the Youree branch.

Give Campus Federal CU a look to. Alot of people do not know about them, they are inside of LSU hospital. My wife works at the hospital and we use them for everything. When I bought my boat, it was used and they had the best rates of anyone here local and are very easy to deal with. They were willing to finance more than Carter was and for a lot longer term than I wanted. You only have to meet one of the following requirements to become a member so you should qualify since you are in Haughton if you don't meet any of the others.

-Affiliation with LSU (Faculty, staff, students and alumni)
-Select Employee Groups (SEGs)
-Family members of current Campus Federal members 
-Live, study, work, or worship in Baton Rouge, Shreveport, or New Orleans areas

I just got out of bankruptcy 3 weeks ago and ANECA federal CU approved me for any NADA value of a boat for up to 60 months... they are trying to get alot of business right now so they are taking anyone!!!! They are willing to work with you... just call em... they will probably do it over the phone! Thanks to them I have a triton tr-21 now!!! yay!!!

ANd FYI... my skeeter was approved at citizens bank and trust of s'port and vivian... they are good to work with too!
