What ever happened to our old saying here in northwest Louisiana, "If you don't like the weather just wait an hour and it will change". This wind has been steady for weeks now, sure wish it would lay down just a bit. We are going through the worst weather here that I've ever seen, no rain & bad winds our lakes are really going to be in bad shape this year.

Was on Cross today and perch fishing in the old Brewsters pocket area...left around 1:00 and when hit the main lake it had got much worse that I realized....no problems but pretty rough...think my little boat nearly came out of the water a couple of times... :shocking:

Caught about 15 nice perch too.... :)

The wind has been real bad this year.  I have avoided trips to wide bodies of water, preferring small rivers such as Sabine.  Managed Bisteneau Saturday and Red on Sunday, but was a bit more challenging, especially with a trolling motor that works only when it wants.  Be careful out there!
