Prayers please

I lost a very good friend of mine Saturday. Trent Guidry, 4-H extension agent in Calcasieu Parish, passed away unexpectedly in his home Saturday afternoon. Reports are sketchy at best, but my parents had talked to him at the Garden Festival at Burton Col. Saturday and said that he looked bad and he thought he had a sinus infection. He went home, took some medicine and layed down. His wife took their 5 boys to the store and when she got back they could'nt wake him. An autopsy is scheduled for today and when I know more I'll post. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. It would be greatly appreciated. He was only 40 years old.

This was a very big shock. I was helping Trent Bar-b-que Friday for the Garden fest and he was his normal joking self. When I heard he had passed I couldn't believe it. He will be missed. Prayers go out to his family.

5 boys wow that is going to be very hard on Mom. Prayers from the Cork family, those of you close be sure to keep tabs on Mom as she is going to need a lot of help. This is very sad news, please keep us posted if you find out what happened.

Thanks to everyone for the support. We had a meeting last night to discuss options to help the family. A trust fund has been set up and we were assured that all funeral arrangements are under control. The cause of death was a heart attack and according to a friend's conversation with the coroner, he did not suffer. We will more than likely arrange some type of benefit later on to further help the family. Those who may be interested, here is the information on the trust.
