HAS ANYONE EVER USED THE 3 OR 4 BLADED SPINNERBAITS LIKE THE BOOYAH SUPER SHAD OR THE WHOOPBASS SPINNERBAITS. THE WHOOPBASS SPINNERBAITS CAN BE SEEN ON THE WEBSITE BUSTINBASS.COM.  ANY COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED.

I have thrown them a couple of times but honestly I prefer two bladed spinnerbaits, as I like to throw really big blades on mine most the time.

I've used the booyah 4 blade (small willows).  My son caught a 6 lbr in the Potomac on Thanksgiving with that exact bait.

It works.

I've tried multiple blades many times but the standard single or double blade has always produced better for me.  The concept of multiple blades is a good one in that it should imitate a small school of bait fish but it has just never panned out for me.

I fish exclusively Secret Weapon spinnerbaits.  One day while fishing Chequomegon Bay (Lake Superior) for smallmouth, I noticed they were balling up and busting pods of small minnows.  I threw everything I could think of without result.  Finally, out of desperation, I strung 5 small willowleaf blades, then a small colorado blade, then to that blade attachment, I put a #10 treble hook on a split ring.

I tossed the whole ungainly looking mess past the school and brought it through, just under the surface.  The smallies absolutely loved it and I caught 8 bass from that school before they moved on.  Five were caught on the primary hook, but three were caught on the tiny little treble on the spinner blades.
