Why do all the batteries seem to bite the dust at the same time!?

I just replaced my cranking battery last week after discovering it was shot while getting it ready after the winter! Fished a tourney today & about mid day I noticed my batteries just were not doing as expected! I am running two Big Momma batteries in parallel on a 12v TM and have fished 2 days many times with no need for charging...fishing only one day, the batteries were always just as hot as that afternoon as they were that morning.

Today, by 230, they were gone!  :-\ I checked the date on them & they were purchased in Oct 2006, so I do not guess I can complain after getting over 4 years out of them!  I just wish they would at least wait a payday or two before going out after replacing the cranking battery!  ~b~
