My friend Jose and I had a very good time at Sylvan Pier in La Port Texas. We caught three sheep heads and lost at least 4 more to the barnicles on the pier posts. I got a pretty good tooth shot too.

This is actually the first time I have ever caught this species, although I have seen them caught in FL.

Our first of the day, my first ever, and my PB 6.6 lbs 22 inches long. What a fight!

This was my second, real firesy fighter at 4.6 lb 22 inches long.

Jose caught this one 3.15lbs and 18 inches long, it was a scrapper.

Kind of toothy, ya know?

Nice fish! I always liked how the Sheepheads looked, I want to catch one for myself some day. Definitely a toothy critter too. Thanks for sharing the pics!
