Looks like my cranking battery took a crap on me...I see BPS has a battery on sale for $99 for the Spring Classic, anyone have experience with their batteries?

Most normal batteries for cars and boats are made by one of 3 companies, so you should not have any problems with the BPS batteries.
My wife and I had 22 happy years... then we got married.

Made by the same company or not, there may still be quality issues. Ex Goodyear tires they make specific brands to be sold only at certain chains some are cheaper quality than the ones they sell at Goodyear stores.

All my batteries in my boat are BPS.  I use the BPS AGM batteries for my Trolling motor, and a regular lead cell BPS cranking battery for starter and running electronics.  Been running the same set up for 3 years without an issue from any of the three batteries.

I ended up buying the BPS battery...time will tell, I guess!

One thing that had me scratching my head is that the battery came with regular nuts rather than wing nuts.  :-\ :-\

Yeah, I like those better myself, you can really crank them down and make sure they will not come loose like the wing nuts can when not tight enough.   ;D

Personnaly I like Deka GM batteries, but whichever one you use always use a double nut on the connections to keep them coming loose. Tighten the first one and then the second one on top. Deka recommends this and since I did it they have never been loose.

A friend of mine uses BPS and likes them. The AGM's, although more money, work better (charge lasts longer (storage), charges faster, and holds a better percent of total capacity to run longer).

Good luck!
