if you're in the market and looking for new electronics...might want to toss this into the mix of things to consider...

Man, CF, you really need to call Lowrance and ask for a job... ~roflmao ~roflmao ~roflmao...  They could use a salesman like you.

thanks Bryan...won't though...and if you think I sell 'hard' for Lowrance...have you watched DougV with regards to HB?   8)

what I do have is a tendency to really dislike 'un warranted' comments based on hearsay and second/third party comments that may/may not be accurate.

IF you read long enough, you might get the idea that there is no worse company than Lowrance and HB walks on water.  The truth for both companies lies somewhere more towards the middle.

You will also note that unlike folks who DO get 'consideration' for a company, I have shared some issues that Lowrance does have that make me scratch my head sometimes.

IF I were to deal with HB...I can bet you I'd run across a few things there too...

It's the nature of companies...and how well they mesh with EVERY individuals exact needs...

I hear ya, CF, bu Doug does get paid for it...I'm just saying that as much work as you put in for them you should too.  I agree, neither of the companies are perfect.  I have spent almost 10K with Lowrance in the last 7 years and feel my opinion of Lowrance has been bought and paid for, and that's FIRST hand, not second or third.  My HDS unit's are not the first products I have been less than satisfied with, just the latest (and the last).  That said, I am the one that keeps buying Lowrance so the issue is now mine but, once you invest in one or the other, it's pretty much financially impossible to change your mind so you have to dance with the one that you brung...

Bryan,
I have never ever had issue with your posts on Lowrance...I find them 'good' and 'fair'...  and truthfully, none of this matter much.

Keep in mind I've been in customer service for over 20 years with a food ingredient company ... and I've seen an awful lot of awful behavior from both a company side and a customer side...  the smart folks drop the 'rant mode' (whether from the company side or the customer side) and seek the solution...

I've been around long enough to know that folks can abuse product (even food ingredients) and then want to play the 'who me' card...

It's a situation full of 'opportuniteis' for all...   lo

and to restate:  I appreciate your comments on your experiences...and hope that they are getting back/to Lowrance...so more folks can benefit.

I'll give a recent experience on another company (BPS)...I started buying the Bob Timberlake khakis a couple years back...heavier material, wear great!  needed a couple more pairs this spring...so ordered them...(at their premium price)...the pants I got in were NOT what I was used to...material weight was maybe 1/3 of expectations...stitching was 'over the top' and I can see it starting to come apart...all for the same price of the premium pant I was used to wearing...

I have logged my concerns with BPS...I have actually returned the pants...If I'd have seen them 'at the store' I would not have bought them for 1/3 the price asked...they just won't live up to what I want them to do...

I can imagine, somewhere, some purchasing agent was being leaned on to save some $$ and 'found a way' ...  stuff like this is sad...
