Do any of you guys ever fly fish for bass? I fly fish for trout and a few saltwater species but seldom do for bass (once or twice a year). I enjoy catching bass on any kind of outfit but it seems as though I enjoy it more with a spinning or baitcasting reel.

We do have a few folks around here that do. Creel Limit Zero from MA does.

I used too as a kid but got away from it. I did really enjoy it though. Mostly fished for bass with poppers. We have several on the site that do enjoy fly fishing and have asked for a specific forum but we haven't got enough interest in it yet. SO post away and maybe we can get something going ~c~ ~c~

I fly fish for bass! At one time it was the only way I fished. I lost my rods in a house fire many years ago, and I replaced my fly rod first. It was several years before I bought any other type of rod, so all my bass fishing was with flies!

Actually, I'm the opposite, I enjoy fishing with a fly rod the most no matter what I'm fishing for but I also fish with spinning gear, baitcasters & trolling gear. I only use trolling gear for saltwater. I also rarely fly fish for trout, I prefer bass, panfish or saltwater species. Trout are fun too, I just don't get the opportunity to fish for them too often.  ~gf

Mike, I would like to see a fly fishing forum!  ~shade
