I live across the street from a golf course . Trey and I have had many outstanding days on one pond 12 acres and hardly ever fished. I have caught many seven lb. Bass from that pond.

Its the same way here in Maryland. Most of the courses around here you need to be a member.

I used to fish the golf course down the road 'till they came and ran me off.....I'd go back, but they threatened to call the local PD on me.......reckon I'll just wait 'till summer and go night fishing

We have been members for over 20 years, but now even members are not suposed to fish. ( insurance problems they say)I told the owner if I could not fish I was going to drop out and he said go ahead and fish but try to be discreet. How silly is that?

I too have seen some real hogs in ponds on golf courses. One in particular is Castle Shannon in Hopedale, Ohio. Great golf course too. I remember playing it one day with a few friends and I hit a ball along the shore of one of the ponds (I swear it didn't go in!). I walked over to hit my ball, and watched two massive 5+# fish swimming by. Upon returning to the clubhouse, I asked if fishing in the ponds was allowed. Guy just said, yep, for the staff.

It was a great article.

I dunno, I just pull up to the office in my county mosquito truck and ask if it is ok to fish the course and smile. Before you know it I have a permission letter.

I'm surprised yall are havin such problems.
