does anyone know if Dobyns has a line with micro guides? I did not see any on the web site.

They do not have any mirco guides at this time. What type of rod are you looking for? Obviously micro guided but what will you be using it for?

I am not on any rod team so my opinion is unbias. I have two  rods with micro guides. They are nice and pretty neat but I have not found that the micros have improved my pitching or casting. I pitch and cast as acurate with my rods that have regular guides as I can with my rods with micro guides. The micros are a bit more stout but they do bend. I know because I just had to bend one back in shape.  lo There are others that swear by the micros and say they have improved their accuracy and distance. That could be but for me it hasn't. The point I'm making is go and try a rod with micros and see if the claim they are making works for you. I think you will find there is not that big of a difference and you can purchase the rod of your choice even if that brand doesn't have micros.

If you decide to go with standard eyes and like the Dobyns Line let me know and I can point you in the right direction of which one. I use just about every casting rod they make.  ~shade

Kistler makes some really nice micro guide rods as well and I have been switching over all my rods to micro guides.

When I received my micro-guide I have to say I was stunned  :o Looked like a rod with pimples  :-\  After putting my reel on it and practicing casting in the yard I fell in love with the weight of the rod and the absolute smoothness of the cast. Very little effort was required at the start of the cast. Just sweep your arm and the lure follows. I have yet to get out on the water with it. But I can't wait. I am with holding my full reveiw of the rod until I catch a few fish with it.
