I wonder about the livewells in Bass Trackers. I have one , and I just started to fish tourneys. Would I better to make a large insulated cooler a livewell , to avoid killing fish when its 100 degrees outside ? Thanks for the info..

You could also add ice.  Just fill a couple of 2 liter pop bottles with water and freeze them.  They should stay cold all day.

I believe it was on youtube (and I would have to double check the amounts) but there was a pro that said you could add household hydrogen paroxide to the water. Like I said, I cant remember the amount of peroxide per gallon of water, but it is supposed to help a lot.

I add frozen bottles of water to my live well during the hot summer days and haven't had one die yet.  I also use please release me live well additive to assist the process of calming the fish.

cmorg don't know what year your tracker is but you can insulate them. If you have a friend or hang around a boat shop that installs on board battery chargers they are packed with some thick foam about 4 per box. Have the shop save them for you. You can piece them together around the live well once you have them sized you can glue them together with  gorilla glue creating a foam box around the livewell. It will help with keeping the water cooler when you add the ice or frozen bottles. You don't want it too cool about 10 degrees cooler thatn the water they came from or you could put them in shock.
