I am thinking about getting a new fortex for my 18ft skeeter and i was wondering if anyone had any input on a 24v or a 36v i currently have a 36v right now which leaves me with little to now room in the back of the boat to have a charger and anything else. I was wondering if a 24v would be enough for a 18ft boat and how long just two batteries last on a normal day?

Thanks for the help!

I have the Minnkota 24Volt - 80 lb thrust Pro-Maxxum.  It pushes my 20 foot Basscat all day long with room to spare on the batteries.  I've never run out of Trolling motor power with my set up...  You should be fine with the same set up for your Skeeter.

alright thanks! The minn kota i have right now is about 8 years old and is getting kinda wobbly and is really load and i wanna up grade sometime soon. I would like to go to 24v so i can have three batteries in the back instead of 4 give me more room and a little speed!
