How often do you take new members? I live near Milton and have been looking to get back into tourney fishing. I have my own boat and have fished many of the same lakes that I see on your schedule. I am a little confused on your "non-boater" rules. Do you have teams that fish together exclusively or are they all required to be paired by drawing before each tourney. Would hate to tell my partner he could not go with me.
Thanks,...

No dedicated partners, but Hub City has one heck of a great bunch of guys that share a love for bass fishing.  We tend to switch up partners so every member gets to know other members as well as learning new/different techniques.  Great camaraderie!!   Is your partner your son/father/brother?

We accept both boater and non-boater members.  We require that everyone (Boater and Non-boater) let the tournament director or a club officer know before the monthly meeting if they plan to fish the upcoming tournament.  At the meeting we insure all non-boaters are paired up to fish with with a boater.  Normally this is not a problem and everyone pairs up on their own however, if someone does not get paired up then we hold a draw.  After that is taken care of remaining boaters can either fish by themselves or bring a guest.  We have a rule that a guest can only fish two tournaments and participate in the tournament pot and big fish pot.  After two tournaments they can only fish as a guest and particpate in the big-fish pot only.  We are very laid back and keep it a family orientied club.  Our meetings are open to family members and guest.  We spend more time socializing than any thing else.  Our tournament are not partner tournament so everyone competes against each other.  We have no rule prohibiting club members from fishing with each other as often as they want but do like to see some rotation as Swede mentioned so that everyone can get to know each other and hopefully learn a few new tricks.

Thanks for the reply's gentlemen, sounds like a great organization. Swede, you ask about my partner,.....well, simply because I know he will read this I will say he is just some ole' geezer I've been trying to teach how to bass fish, so puttin' him with someone else may be good for both of us,....... ;D My working out of town every week always makes it hard for me to attend monthly meetings during the week, but it would be great to get back to something that resembles a real life again,....I cant remember without looking, is there an application process, I will talk with my boss(wife) and my partner(COUSIN-IT) and see what they think. Thanks again,...

Swede - you by right, I do feel like an old geezer (fish like one too sometime).  We don't have a application but do require some info to add you to the roster.  We have a 2-day at Miller's Ferry on 20th and 21st of this month then next meeting on December 3rd.  If you're interested in fishing the 2 day just let me know.  We can arrange it.

Nickstuff

Absolutely, just tell me where to send the info, what all I need to know, fee's, where will you launch from, times and such,...... Trying to get ahold of my partner and get him "enrolled" also,.....
