Well after following wires for 30 minutes today I discovered why I had no left turn signal on my trailer. It appears the "moron" that wired my trucks plug back when? Used these wire taps...

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these things. Use proper crimps or solder and shrink tubing. They will keep secure and DRY! This thing was way up in the body of my bed and a pain to get to, but it was the problem. Since it doesn't seal, the wires became coroded inside the tap and stopped conducting.

I used to wire car stereo systems and wouldn't touch these things. All they do is basically "cut" the main wire you are tapping into, in half. Every trailer wiring kit comes with them, and every time I get a package with them, they get tossed lo
