Check Hooks Often

I know we all check our fishing line often for nicks and marks that can cause it to break. But with all the salt many of the lure companies are putting in plastics check your hooks for corrosion, just a little pitting around the bend or the point can cause a hook point not to pull through your bait. I fish alot of rods that are rigged for one bait and find the hook on the ones rigged for plastics corroded, pitted, or rusty at the eye, bend, and point. Check your hooks often!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder. 

There have been times I've my soft plastics on the hooks and found rust on the hooks.
When I find this I usually try to clean the hook but most of the time I get another hook and retie.
