Side Imaging tells more because you can see to which side of centerline of the transducer the points of interest are actually located...this is one of the benefits of Side Imaging or Humminbirds QuadraBeam 2D Technology being able not only able to find the points of interest but being able to know where the relationship they are to where you are at.
