How can I tell if my hot foot is giving full throttle to my 2008,200hp.Optimax.Don't know how to tell under the cowl. What do I look for and where.Any help would be great. This is my first hot foot, came on the boat, dealer is 200 miles away.

To check, simply pop the cowl off and have someone step on the hotfoot.  You'll then see the throttle linkage and what moves when you need more gas.  You can then figure out if the throttle is advancing fully.

What kind of rpms are you getting with the current setup?  It might not be a problem with your hotfoot, it might be that your boat is propped wrong.

It sounds like you're propped about right, so there are two things I'd suggest looking at.

First of all, check your linkage and make sure you're actually getting the full range of throttle.  If that's all right, then I'd say you might have to raise your motor.
