I was on a fishing trip with my dad a couple years back, We had 4 wheel drived 20 miles out in the boondocks for a couple days of fishing, while unloading the truck I noticed that some how the tip of my pole had gotten broken off, just happen to be i had a paperclip attatched to my truck registration. I bent it out so the curve of the paper clip looked just like the tip  put the other ends bent out straight paralell down the rod at the tip its self. used fishing line from my reel wrapped the line around the ends of the paperclip and rod, tied off the line wrapped a piece of black electrical around the line and was all set. we caught alot of fish and the make ship tip held up superbly, we didnt have to drive back to the nearest tackle shop(nearest one was 2 hours away) to get anew one til we were on our way home,
