Just got done watchin Tommy Biffle win the elite but noticed the Skeet had Stratos as his sponsor on his shirt but still in his Champion. Surly they could get him in a boat for a tourney that big. Lost a lot exposure.

Word is that Stratos has "acquired" all of Champions boat molds and designs. So we may be seeing the Champion boat with a Stratos sticker on it.

Well I would have thought it would have been the other way around. I really thought Champion had a better name than Stratos but I guess it doesn't make a difference. Doesn't Coleman own Ranger, Stratos and Champion?

Meaning it's going to be the top of the line stratos but will be the champion hull?I'm with you the champion had a bigger name and you would have thought it would have been the other way around?

Stratos has aquired Champion. They will have a new boat out in the fall. Basically it will be the Champion hull but the interior will be different. Skeet just signed on with Stratos. The new boat is will be called the Statos Champ Elite. From what I heard they are getting ideas from their pro team to completely redesign the layout of the interior. Should be very interesting.

It's all about the money guys...  With Genmar going bankrupt the company was up for grabs and Stratos stepped up to the plate.  I look forward to seeing what they come up with.

Official word from Stratos Sales Rep.....All new boats will be Stratos Hulls and with Champion Top Caps.

Stratos Champion Elite Series a trio of boats 183, 202, & 210. They are to start building them in July and have them to the dealers in the fall. I guess we'll see what they put together then.

If the Champion still exists as built in yrs past...it would take away from potential Ranger Boat sales.

Thats very true however another way to look at it is giving the customers more options and could mean more sales.  I think that is why Ford has more than 1 F150 so those that want it fully loaded can have one, those that want one set up with some extra stuff can have one and those that just want a base model truck have one but still buying a Ford rather than say Ford has the fully loaded trucks, Dodge has the mid truck and Chevy has the base truck.  I think they do it this way to help keep a customer in a dealership rather than seeing all but the ones that can afford the top of the line vehicle from moving on to the next company.  Now with all that said 2 of the 3 went under as well so maybe it's not such a great idea

Another way to look at this is Champion went bankrupt. That basically puts the company out there for sale. Somebody is going to buy it. Champion makes a great boat. Rather than have someone else buy it and it be in competion with Stratos and Ranger they bought it and added it to their line of boats. Pretty smart if you ask me.
