Indy Bass Club tournament number 4 on Mill Creek Lake was a hot one. With temperatures near 90 and the threat of storms both days, anglers found the bite to be really tough. On day one 16 teams left the dock area in search of a 5 fish limit full of giant bass that we all know Mill Creek is capable of producing. Fishing was tough and good quality bass was hard to find. Wayne Judd and Byron Johnson led after day 1 with 4 fish that went 12.19lbs with a 5.6lb largemouth to lead the big bass honors. In second was the team of Jason Smith and Brian Hollis with a limit that went 9.91lbs. Rounding out the top 3 for Day 1 was Bret Languell and Travis Ray with 5 fish that went 9.15. After an evening of thundestorms packing some heavy rain and dangerous lightning, day 2 was ready to get underway. The fishing was even tougher on Sunday. Many teams made adjustments to there game plans based on water clarity and temperature.
