Help jack plate or no jack plate???

OK i have a 2001 triton tr20 with a 225 evinrude.....and its my first boat ive had it about 3 weeks and its quick it has a evinrude renegade prop,and around 65-70 it wants to chine pretty violently and ive talked to some ppl and they said to move back or raise the motor....so im not sure and i need some advice from some experienced boater...............THANKS!! :help:

definately jackplate.  Will help your chinewalk and gain you some MPH as well.  Everybody I've bought had one, but people that have bought them after they owned the boat without it have said its the greatest purchase they have made for their boat.

Here's another vote for a jackplate.  I run a 1998 TR-21 with an Evinrude 225 Vindicator.  The motor is connected to the boat via a 6" jackplate and I have no problems with chine walk running 70 mph.

Get at least a 8 inch plate mine was dangerous without a jackplate! set ithe motor 2 1/2 inches below pad & go! it will be a different boat 74 mph no proplem! one hand sterring! lol but not recomended! LOL
