Back to the topic, I have never heard of spitting on the worm either...I used to discolor the water surrounding the boat with baitmate overspray...now I use mega strike gel.

sometimes the spit trick works for me & sometimes it doesn't. not sure why but oh well. i use worms alot, magnums to finesse, day & night.  from looking at a worm in the water after i've applied "the substance"  ya kind of notice that it gives it a sorta slimier look so maybe thats what works. when it does.

The spit trick is avery, very old GO TO technique that many a old man today could tell you about...it's like..a good luck charm..or..even a last ditch effort..kinda thing.
But on more than one occasion..I spit...I get bit...Crazy...

ok..ok..I know you guys must own scent mfg companies...anyway..pee or spit...whatever turns the fish on...is the name of the game...and while I am at it...pee, spit, tobacco or anise oil or whatever is not a absolute in fishing...but fishing....is....and without all the additives....just fish...nothing in a bottle is going to make you a better fisherman.

hahaha i always drop a big spit wod of skoal in the fish i catch mouth... just to send them a mark to there boys/girls.. at least after they get caught they get a little treat hahahah
