The water temps are running low to mid 70's water color is stained in the sloughs and bayou's the big lake is good shape .

Bass fishing has been incredable over this past week,we are catching fish on a lot of different pattern's,we are catching Bass in 1 to 3 ft of water on buzz baits, this has been an extremely effective pattern fishing the shallow scattered grass this pattern is producing a lot of fish over the 18 inch slot,we have not been using stinger hooks and were not losing many fish either that tells ya how well there eat'n it chrt/wht has been the color of choice here,blk/bl jigs have also been a very productive way to catch these Bass spawning on the deeper tree's and post spawn Bass feeding up after the spawn.Other pattern's working well are senko's, fluke's around tree's in 1 to 4 ft of water, chatter baits, spinner baits,in shad patterns.

May is a great month on Caddo Lake for catching good size and good numbers of Bass the pattern's won't change much we still have some Bass spawning, and the shad spawn will be going on in May also theres a lot of great fishing to look forward to on Caddo Lake in May.
