First potomac river bass

This is my first bass caught on the potomac river. Its not a monster but this was my first time fishing on the potomac so I was pretty excited

How'd it hit your line? I know last year when I fished the Potomac they where hammering everything, this year the bass barely took it. You didn't even know you had one hooked.

If you come offshore from that bamboo, about 100yds, there is a sweet milfoil edge, the bigger fish are there. Thats a good area you are in though, for sure. Several hundred yds from your location is where Mr. Lane won the flw last year.

It's the only bamboo shoots on the river I know of

The first can be the best no matter how big.  Yours looks like a nice one to me, especially after blanking yesterday

Congrats on the first fish! Also caught my first Potomac river bass this year....looks like the same fish.
