can I mount LSS1 on a aluminum boat with 25 hp motor?

I have a 17ft tracker panfish with 25hp motor,  it seems the lss1 transducer would interfere with the motor, or visa versa.  I also would have to mount the regular trancducer somewhere.  I was holding out for a deal on a regular glass boat, but no luck so far.

You could but like you said your motor probably will block the signal on one side. I doubt that you have trim on your motor.

I'll see if I can get some pictures up...I just mounted it on my 16 foot aluminum with a 40hp outboard...I'm on the road today...won't be home until late tonight...and won't actually get the boat out on the water until this Friday (April 9th)...to check out the image...

actually not too concerned about getting both sides ... if I just get 'one' I'll be very happy...both will be even better...

I think your answer is 'yes'...

I would also say you should be fine, but can't say for sure without visually seeing the specific location of your engine/lower unit as it relates to where your ducer should be mounted.

okay, I have a 'typical' aluminum boat...with a 40hp force on the back...I mounted my LSS-1 'ducer right next to my 200Hz transducer...was wondering if the motor would interfere with the signal.

Runnng around the lake looking at stuff (it's a no-wake lake, so speed was 4-5 mph)...and running the motor 'straight down'...i had no interference...I could trim the motor all the way down...and then the left side would get a little darker...

the only time I run my motor trimmed all the way down is when running a heavy load and trying to plane out quicker...

at any rate, the intereference I saw was minimal...
