Shakey Head Jig

Can anyone recommend the best size / weight shakey head jig to use with 5 inch rubber worms?

It all depends on the presentation you are aiming for. I prefer the 1/8 to 1/4 oz since the slower fall tends to get more hits. If it is in the dead of winter or heat of the winter when they are sitting deep, then I may kick it up to a size, usually 1/4  to 3/8 oz to get it deeper quicker.

5/16 Omega savior finese jig is all I use. Great jig head with just the right hook.

I very seldom go any bigger than a 1/8 oz.  I will throw a 3/16 if it is windy.  The heavier the weight takes away from the acion.  I fish a shaky head about 70% of the time and I also pour my own and after several test in a pool with the different types of plastics the 1/8 oz with a 3/0 hook gives the best action.

i throw a shakey head 80% of time so i get mine from a farely new local maker near in north carolina ( im not going to state name bc i dont want to make any admins mad by advertizing a brand not on this website.)  well anyway he makes me 1/8 and 1/4oz i throw 1/8 oz most of the time. and throw a 1/4 oz when its windy. caught this momma on wensday on a 1/8 oz shakey head.

I either use an 1/8 or 3/16 for all of my shakey head stuff.
